A book without a message is but a string of letters. A ship without a sailor at the rudder floats aimlessly on the vast ocean. A company without central management may be apt to collapse. A nation without governance finds no peace.
In the same way, there is a core truth of the Bible on which our salvation pivots on. It is the Passover of the new covenant.
The Passover is a feast appointed by God which contains the blessings of eternal life, forgiveness of our sins, and protection from disasters. We can also come to know the true God through this feast.
Even more critically, we should understand that this pivotal truth was established through the great love and sacrifice of our Saviour.

With just a mere change of date of this feast, the meaning of the Passover disappeared completely.
