1 John 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
In the Book of First John, it is recorded that God the Son Jesus is the advocate; in the Gospel of John, it is written that God the Holy Spirit is the advocate. The same author, Disciple John, can never contradict himself. Thus we can come to understand that God the Son, Jesus and God the Holy Spirit are one and the same God.
In the Book of Romans, it is also written that the Holy Spirit/Jesus intercedes for us.
Romans 8:26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.
Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
In conclusion, God the Father, Jehovah; God the Son, Jesus; and God the Holy Spirit are not three different entities but one and the same God. When we come to understand the basic concept of the Trinity, we will be able to realise that there is no difference in the redemption works of God Jehovah in the Old Testament, those of Jesus Christ in the New Testament, and of the Holy Spirit, who is the Redeemer in the last days.
God the Father Jehovah who created the heavens and earth in the beginning, who divided the Red Sea during the time of the Exodus, is God the Son Jesus who died on the cross for us and is God the Holy Spirit who is prophesied to come to this earth a second time in the flesh. He will remind us of everything He had taught us at His first coming (John 16:24), so that we may come to recognise Him as our Redeemer and Saviour and receive the salvation of our souls.
