Days will pass by before we even know it. What can we do within a day?
For many, they may be doing the same routine every day. Students go to school to attend lectures and working adults report to work. As these events occur in our lives repeatedly, the drill may never seem to end. Some of us might occasionally peek at the calendar anticipating the holidays. Nevertheless, God has granted everyone 24 hours in each day.
What is God’s will for us in each day?
The Bible has some answers to this.
Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Towards the day the work of salvation is completed, each day is given to us to build each other up towards love and to do good deeds. The time is given for us to meet one another and to build courage in each other.
Titus 2:11-13 For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ…
While waiting for the day of redemption, God has also given us time to learn and train to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives.
